Born in London and based in Richmond, I realised a long standing ambition when I began life-drawing at Putney School of Art (Annabel Cullen). Inspired, I worked on locally in Richmond, at Heatherleys Open Studio and with Jason and Francis Bowyer.
Although I prioritise portraits, I paint anything I can see and also what may not be visible. While each work makes its own demands, my dominant aims are to express what I observe with my own eyes and to achieve a sincere and personal response to my subject.
I am a member of Richmond Art Society, run the en plein air group and exhibit work at its exhibitions and elsewhere locally. I have also shown work at Mall Galleries.
